Forklift Scales

A forklift scale allows the integration of weighing and data management into your operation – without adding any extra steps or route changes. This means you protect your revenue while maximizing efficiency. All Rice Lake forklift scales are mounted directly on the front of the forklift truck carriage, with a weight indicator in the cab of the truck.  This arrangement allows the driver to clearly, easily and safely operate the scale system without interrupting their normal routine.

Purchasing a forklift scale can dramatically increase efficiency and throughput by weighing materials onboard a forklift during the material handling process. Since there are many models and classes of forklifts, it’s important to select the correct forklift scale attachment for your current equipment.
Forklift scale compatibility is determined by the ITA Class of Carriage that is installed on the forklift. An accurate measurement is required to ensure the correct scale attachment. To provide some guidance, the lifting capacity of the forklift can determine the class type of carriage:

Class Carriage Height and Capacity Scale Compatibility
Class I 13.03 in (H) with up to a 2,000 lb lifting capacity No scale compatibility
Class II 16 in (H) with a 2,000–5,500 lb lifting capacity 28 in and 34 in scale
Class III 20 in (H) with a 5,501–11,000 lb lifting capacity 38 in scale
Class IV 25 in (H) with a 11,000–17,500 lb lifting capacity No scale compatibility
